The Sabine Cross Country varsity boys team earned 6th place overall out of 34 teams in the Region II UIL Cross Country meet.

Sophomore David Robinson led the way with a 6th place finish with a 3-mile time of 16 minutes and 37 seconds. Junior Saniel Acosta followed close behind in 10th place with a 3-mile time of 16 minutes and 41 seconds. Both Robinson and Acosta qualified for State Cross Country meet at Round Rock on Nov. 3. Freshman Caleb Cox came in at 59th place, junior Wesley McGarity 65th, freshman Alex Barrios 66th, junior Trenton Ausmus 89th, and junior Seth Griffin 130th.

The varsity cross country girls team finished 17th out of 34 teams.

Sarah Webb finished 31st out of 173 runners, followed by Macy Rutland in 45th, Bethani Roper in 86th, Lesli Flores 103rd and Paige Bynog 127th.
