The week before Thanksgiving was a prime time to sponsor a canned food drive, and Spanish Club made it happen. Activity periods were challenged to bring canned goods that would be awarded points. The classes with the most points per capita will win breakfast burritos or donuts and drinks. Also on the line were chicken fajita nachos, Mexican fried rice and drinks or both for the lucky first place winner.

Classes could also challenge each other to win ice cream floats. The challenges lined up like this:

Hatt vs. Barrow
Brown vs. Griffith
Carr vs. D. Duncan
Challis vs. Washburn
Faulkner vs. W. Stevens
Strong vs. Mackey
Mount vs. Swain
Susan Duncan vs Skye Duncan

When the contest ends Nov. 16, canned food items will be donated to local food banks.
