Volleyball team to play regional semifinal game Monday

The varsity volleyball team will advance to the regional semifinals after beating the Tatum Eagles 3-0 in round three of the playoffs. The round four game is scheduled to be played against the Gunter Tigers on Monday at 6:30 pm. in the Sunnyvale High School gym.

“The student section showed up for us!” senior Sierrah Richter said. “We are all super excited to be advancing and we have confidence that we can go far.”

The volleyball team is currently ranked third in the state, and their record is set at 28-1; the girls were undefeated in district. 

“Our team has grown into a family and we always have each other’s backs,” junior Aubree McCann said. “The leadership on the team is strong.”
