The Cardinal varsity and JV football seasons came to an end Nov. 6 after their last games against Tatum. The overall records were 3-7 for the varsity and 8-1-1 for the JV.
“It was my senior year and I wanted to have fun and do our best no matter if we won or lost,” senior Ty Francisco said.
The JV team became district champs after defeating Tatum at home Nov. 5. After they won the game, the team took a picture with a poster the cheerleaders made for them that read “JV District Champs.”
“Finally hearing that we were district champs after practicing for so long, I felt happy, and we even got a poster for it that the cheerleaders made,” freshman Donovan Fay said.
