At the second art club meeting on Oct. 3, club members designed club T-shirts with the help of a special guest, graphic designer Reagan Dirksen, from BOLD Designs.

“[Dirksen] was taking our ideas and putting them on the t-shirt and showing what they look like,” art club member and junior Amber Gibson said.

Art club meetings are open for all art students to attend. Art teacher Anna Hamilton hosts the meetings after school every first Tuesday of the month in her classroom.

“I like to be involved, and I was so close to everyone in art and that makes it easy to be involved,” art club president and senior Lacey Lasseigne said. “Art is a good stress reliever and an escape from everything around you.”

At the first art club meeting in September, the group came up with activities they would like to paint and draw.

“Art club is a fun thing to do in my spare time,” Gibson said. “I joined the art club because I get to participate more in art.”
