The high school and middle school choirs performed their winter concert in the high school auditorium at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 9.

The high school choir sang “Glow” by Eric Whitacre, “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen” by Wesley Peters, “Carol of The Bells” by Peter Wilhousky and “Winter With You” by Pink Zebra.

Sophomore Kiki Washington’s favorite song was “Carol of The Bells.”

“It has to be because of the soprano part,” Washington said. “I love that part.”

Middle schools songs included the “Theme from Elf” by Daniel Grassi, “Beautiful December” by Amy Bernon, “You’re A Mean One Mr. Grinch” by Jeff Funk, “Nightmare Before Christmas” by Alan Billingsby, “Holiday Road” by Greg Gilpin, “I See a Star” by Greg Gilpin and “Christmas… In About Three Minutes” by Mark Weston.

Earlier in the week, the high school choir went caroling Dec. 6 at Arbor Grace in Kilgore, the Longview mall, a bank in Longview and The First National Bank of Hughes Springs in Liberty City.
